Hello!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are writing to give you a very important update regarding the changes around DEA license verification.<\/p>\n

Recap of our\u00a0previous email:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last month\u00a0(on\u00a0October 19th)\u00a0we sent a communication to alert you that NTIS would no longer be offering a subscription service for DEA license verification,\u00a0effective November 17, 2020.\u00a0 NTIS, recognized by NCQA as a primary source site for DEA verification, has been Modio\u2019s primary source for performing DEA verification in OneView\u2122.\u00a0We also shared that we already have a new integration in place with USDOJ to continue to provide the DEA verification service on the OneView\u2122 platform\u00a0and that\u00a0the new service with USDOJ\u00a0may require some additional items on your provider profile to be completed.\u00a0(Learn more on\u00a0the NTIS\u00a0website<\/a>\u00a0and view our original email\u00a0on\u00a0our\u00a0blog<\/a>).<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the latest?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our team has been in contact with USDOJ as we want to ensure we are able to deliver a transition that is as seamless as possible. However, in these\u00a0conversations, it has come to light that USDOJ\u00a0has also decided to\u00a0make adjustments to\u00a0their DEA verification service. While the date of these changes does not yet seem to be set, they seem to be trying to make these changes occur on or close\u00a0to November 17, 2020, which is when NTIS will cease to\u00a0offer\u00a0their verification\u00a0service.<\/p>\n

What does this mean for you?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

At this time, it is not fully clear what this will mean regarding the verification that is being done in Modio or how this will impact general DEA verification.\u00a0 Needless to say,\u00a0further action is on hold pending the next announcement from the\u00a0DEA\/USDOJ. These changes with both NTIS and USDOJ will potentially have a significant impact across\u00a0any\u00a0organizations doing electronic DEA verification\u00a0manually or via OneView\u2122.<\/p>\n

What are the next steps?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Modio\u00a0is working diligently to get the information around the upcoming changes.\u00a0 We will continue to provide you with updated information as we receive it from\u00a0the\u00a0USDOJ.\u00a0 Please note our two scheduled Modio University Courses “Updating Provider Profiles for DEA Verification” will also be on hold until further notice.<\/p>\n
